July is "MEET-UP MONTH" & it's Different.. We are hoping you will enjoy this new idea. We are calling it MEET-UPS.

This month the executive will be hosting 4 different meet-ups on 4 different nights.  That way if you want to go to 1 or more of them you can.  
Contact the host via the email provided to sign up for the meet-up of your choice.
Due to the 4 meet-up events we will not have a regular meeting this month.

In future we are encouraging anyone to host a meet-up of their own.
Let us know the details of your meet-up event and we will advertise it for you.
We are hoping this will be a fun, hands-on way to share ideas and learn more about our profession.

Future meet-ups will be in addition to our regular monthly meeting in the future.  

 

Monday July 18 Final Cut Pro 7

Hosted by Don & Sue, 1040 Sitka Ave, Port Coquitlam.
Come and exchange tips and tricks, learn short cuts
and editing techniques from each other. Final Cut Pro X will not be covered.
Time: 6:30 P.M

Tuesday July 19 Webcasting

Hosted by Shawn Lam, 3981 Coast Meridian Rd, Port Coquitlam BC.
Come over and learn about webcasting and the tools used, like the Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E video switcher, ATOMOS Ninja HD external recorder, Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder and so much more.

Wednesday July 20 – Canon Cameras

Hosted by David Cooperstone in the usual BCPVA meeting room at MetroTown Mall.
David is inviting all owners and those interested in learning more about the Canon XH A1, XHG1, XHA1s and XHG1s to come and share their tips, tricks and techniques with each other.
Meeting time will be 6:30 pm

Thursday July 21 – DSLRs

Greg Lam and Michael Rendiluk with share their knowledge and experiences shooting with the Canon DSLRs. They would like to invite anyone who is interested in these cameras, or those of you who already work with DSLRs to come by and join their meet-up.

Wednesday Aug 10

Is our annual BBQ.  Bring your family and co-workers along and enjoy an evening of fun.  Also bring a 5 min video for our annual video contest (unmarked DVD). 
Where: Shawn and Amanda's house, 3981 Coast Meridian Rd Port Coquitlam. 
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Bring your own items to BBQ.
Salad's, non-acoholic beverages and deserts will be provided along with condiments.
