Hello BCPVA members and guests,

Hope you got your videos in for our Kudos competition! The screening of the finalists and announcement of the winners is April 30 – we will be sending out more information soon!

For our next monthly meeting, please join us on April 27, 2016 at JIBC for an exciting evening:

1)     Reports from NAB and Winners of the VIA Awards

Shawn Lam, BCPVA President, and Michael Rendulic, BCPVA Executive member, will be reporting back from the NAB Show in Las Vegas to tell us about the awesome new gear that’s out and to announce their selections for the 6th annual BCPVA VIA awards. These awards are presented to companies at NAB who have released new products that are game-changers for corporate and event video producers. In order for products to be eligible, a pre-production or production model must be demonstrated at NAB.

Presenters: Shawn Lam and Michael Rendulic

2)       Presentation by Professional Member John Molnar, Metrotown Media

John will be talking about his current projects, Health and Wellness TV and Mining Clips TV:

Health and Wellness TV is a 30 min. series that’s shown 3 times per week to 8 million viewers throughout Canada. It is distributed through 8 stations SD in 3/4 format. John has been co-producer, post production manager and cameraman for over 6 months, and was a cameraman on the show for a year and a half before that. All production happens in Metrotown Media Production Inc. John will be showing previews of last month’s production.
