Hello BCPVA members and guests,

We have another great line up for the BCPVA April meeting.  John Sawa from Sawa Sound is going to talk about Video Sound Design and Tips for Better Videos.

Our own Shawn Lam, BCPVA President, and Michael Rendulic are going to present the 2015 NAB Show update and talk about the recipients of the BCPVA VIA awards @ NAB.

Topic:   Better looking videos through better sound:  Your work deserves to sound as good as it looks!

A sonic boot camp of the audio production process from pre to post production!  Learn valuable tips on crafting better content with superior sound.

About  John Sawa:

John is an audio expert.  His unique career gives him experience and insight in audio for feature films, TV, radio, video games, web content, and video production.  He’s currently a curriculum advisor and instructor for Centre for Arts and Technology in Kelowna, and works as a freelance Sound Designer/Editor/Engineer for a global clientele.  John’s received nominations from the Leo’s and AMPIA’s (BC and Alberta film awards), and has most recently been nominated for both a MPSE Golden Reel and a Primetime Emmy in the best sound effect editing for long form television/mini series categories for his work on Discovery Channel’s Klondike.

2.   Shawn Lam, BCPVA President –   The NAB 2015 Report – 2015 BCPVA VIA Awards – Shawn Lam and Michael Rendulic

Shawn and Michael will be announcing their selections for the 5th annual BCPVA VIA awards, presented to companies at NAB 2015 in Las Vegas, who have released new products that are game-changers for corporate and event video producers. In order for products to be eligible, a pre-production or production model must be demonstrated at NAB. Awards are judged according to the following criteria:
