BCPVA Meeting Sept 25th 2018 – Business Philosophy and the Pareto Principle

Hello BCPVA members and guests,

Shawn Lam has been in business 17 years and has built his reputation as Vancouver’s go-to production company for corporate live streaming video. During this presentation, he will share how the Pareto Principle, or the 80/20 rule, has helped make his company more efficient, shaped his target markets, and guided him in the best directions to grow his business. Last year Shawn Lam Video was the winner of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award. If you want some tips to streamline your business and pinpoint your market offerings, don’t miss this talk! Tuesday, September 25th, 2018

Associate Member Presentation

David Steinebach, owner of DR1 Productions and BC Wedding Films, self taught himself in the art of videography, in particular the demands and details of wedding and event videography. Always fascinated with the many aspects of the behind the scenes production of video, he started at a young age making fun skits and movies to show his friends and family. It was not until many years later that he decided to delve head first into professional video work. Now in his 2nd year of Wedding Videography and light commercial work, he has already enjoyed a full array of experiences, including finding his talent and abilities for specialized drone work, having recently even filmed  for a CBC documentary. Always looking for a new shot, and a new customer, he is always excited to see where, and with whom he can build on his business and experience.

We’ll be at the Community Living Society, located on the 7th floor of 713 Columbia Street in New Westminster (Columbia & Begbie, beside Waves coffee shop).

Networking will begin at 6:30, and the meeting will formally begin at 7:00 and run until 9:00 with a 15 minute break.
