Nov 28 – BCPVA meeting – Field Trip to CG Masters Academy!

BCPVA_image_Nov 2017

Hello BCPVA members and guests,

We had so much fun with the last field trip – we’re doing it again! Our monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 is at CG Masters School of 3D Animation & VFX!

DON’T SHOW UP at the Community Living Society – no one will be there! But we’ll be just 5 minutes away. CG Masters is located in the New Westminster skytrain complex. Info is below.

Networking will begin at 6:30, and the meeting will formally begin at 7:00 and run until 9:00 with a 15 minute break.

Presentation: Basics of Shooting Greenscreen

Shooting a clean chroma screen such as a bluescreen or greenscreen is as much about eliminating spill as it is about proper lighting of the subject and screen.
Join us for a discussion about the basics of chromakey:  How to choose green or blue.  How to light a screen evenly.  How to eliminate spill.

About CG Masters: The world’s only school to offer industry-designed visual effects and 3D animation job-skills training, not academic process. Our faculty, all industry masters, teach far more than just how to operate software. We teach how to work within a real team, studio production environment to create world-class, film-quality images and animations, and we do it in a completely unique way. We focus on skills, not grades.

Meeting will end with a 15 minute open discussion.
