Hello BCPVA members and guests,

We’re back with an exciting evening on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017. As a reminder – our new meeting date is the 4th Tuesday of each month!

We’ll be at the Community Living Society, located on the 7th floor of 713 Columbia Street in New Westminster (Columbia & Begbie, beside Waves coffee shop).

Networking will begin at 6:30, and the meeting will formally begin at 7:00 and run until 9:00 with a 15 minute break.

1)   Shawn Lam: Streamlining your Video Production Workflows and How to Produce over $200K of Video from a Home Based Operation

Do you want to take your business to the next level?  Do you even know what the next level can look like and what is possible for a “small” home based business to attain?  Be prepared to be blown away at how a fellow BCPVA member is able to produce 4-5x as much work as the average $50K video producer does, while still finding time to volunteer, go on adventures with his young family, and take 8 weeks of vacation annually.  Shawn Lam is going to share with the BCPVA his 10 secrets to consistently producing over $200K every year from a home based business and without any full time employees.

2)    Associate Member Presentations

Scott Finding will present on the topic of car mounted videography, discussing common mounting techniques, stabilization, DIY rigs & audio.
Pollux Chung will present on his work as an “accidental artist” as a graphic designer, web designer, illustrator, photographer, animator and VFX lighting, as well as plumber, strata
manager and videographer. He learned 90% of skills from work and practice during spare time. Clients include Department of Justice Canada, Supreme Courts of BC, Google, Country Music Television, Public Service Alliance of Canada, Canada 3000, Air Transat, UBC, BC Ministry of Justice, and the District of Maple Ridge.

Meeting will end with a 15 minute open discussion.
