Sept 28 – BCPVA Meeting – Panel on Hosting Options – On-Camera Monitor Shootout

Hello BCPVA members and guests,

A lot has changed in the video production industry over the last 20 years, and the BCPVA is changing to reflect that. Thanks to your feedback, we will be launching a new streamlined meeting format at our September meeting.  The new format will allow us to get right into the great presentations and panel discussions that the BCPVA has been known for over the past 20 years, with a lot fewer intros, formal meeting procedures, and announcements.

The new meeting times will now be 6:30PM – 8:30PM on the last Wednesday of the month.

Please join us for an exciting and interactive evening on September 28, 2016 at the JIBC:

1)    Panel Discussion on Online Video Hosting Options

Shawn Lam, Paul Romein and Joseph Kafka discuss the pros and cons of various online video hosting providers, including Wistia, YouTube and Vimeo.

2)     HD & 4K On-Camera Monitor Shootout

Come and see for yourself the difference between several professional on-camera video monitors in our live demonstration and comparison.

If you have an HD or 4K on-camera that you would like to add to our shoot-out, please contact Jennifer Shanse at with your make, model number, supported resolution, and if it is HDMI or HD-SDI.

Meeting will end with a 15 minute open discussion.
