The Horrendous, HighDef, Hip, Hacktastic and Humorous
Happy Fix-It-In-Post Halloween Video Contest

Every videographer and editor has experienced the nightmare of having to produce a great video from frighteningly poor video footage. Raw video can have problems with lighting, focus, sound, composition, shakiness and they’re counting on you to “Fix-It-In-Post”.

BCPVA and Fusion Cine are terrified to give you a chance to show off your magic and compete for cool prizes with our Halloween-themed video contest. At BCPVA’s Member Meeting on October 23, we’ll be unveiling the nasty, problem-infested raw video footage that you’ll get a headache working with! Then at our November 27 meeting, we’ll be screening all creative contest entries and handing out prizes to the best video fixer-uppers. The winners’s videos will be featured at

Fusion Cine is providing the first prize for the editing competition, Roland Edirol R-09HR Field Recorder valued at $400 MSRP. Fusion Cine provides products, solutions, and technical resources that transform the way creative professionals gather, manage and communicate their vision. Other exciting prizes to be announced later.

This contest is open to everyone, including members and non-members of BCPVA.  Attend our October 23 meeting to find out more and to receive access to the raw footage.

That’s Not All!

BCPVA monthly meetings are a forum for members and guests to learn, share, and network with video industry professionals.

Typical meetings can include presentations by experts in technology, shooting, editing, storytelling & imagery, and business management. New Professional members often show examples of their video productions followed by Q&A and open topic discussions.

Frequently our Vendor Members bring the latest technology like cameras, lights, and gear to our meetings so you can try them out.

The point of BCPVA meetings is to help our members be the best videographers they can be!
