This month’s meeting features the NAB Report by BCPVA and SLV Live President, Shawn Lam, and SLV Live Technical Director, Rob Hunt.
Upon their return from NAB, they will be reporting on some of the best innovations and next generation gear the industry has to offer for 2024.

Shawn Lam, President, SLV Live
Shawn has been leading his talented team of video production professionals since 2001. In addition to being an award winning and professionally accredited video producer, Shawn also writes and produces videos and product reviews for Streaming Media Magazine.
As a business owner, Shawn has been recognized by both the City of Port Coquitam and the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce with their Business of the Year Awards.
Rob Hunt Technical Director, SLV Live
Rob is a Vancouver-based filmmaker with a wealth of experience in the industry. He has a background in corporate videography and experience as a camera assistant on professional union sets, including popular TV shows like The Flash.
Rob brings a fresh perspective to his work. He has also directed several web series, including the award-winning Standard Action, which have garnered critical acclaim and a dedicated following. With 10 years working alongside Shawn Lam as technical director of SLV Live, he has honed his craft in the industry.
Following the break, associate member Octavian will tell us a little about himself and his work.
He is an adept creator with a diverse skill set spanning videography, graphic and motion design, and photography. With a foundation in Marketing and Advertising.
